Adventures!!

Hi Everybody!!

I Know, I know, I've been very very very bad in not blogging for so long but im hoping to make up for it now. Since I last blogged I've been on so many cool adventures and have done a ginormous amount of traveling.

Seth, his cousin and I went to Michigan for them to look at a machine. We drove through Chicago, though Indiana into Michigan. I slept the majority of the time. I was quite cozy in the back with heaps of blankets and pillows. We stopped and had an AWESOME breakfast at Denny's and then drove a few more hrs until we got to our destination. Then, after maybe an hour stop we started to travel home. I guess we travelled for about 24hrs straight. On the way home we went over one of the great lakes - it was cool. About an hr away from home it started to snow REALLY heavy. You could only see about 3metres in front of you and we were going about 15mph. Thankfully the snow lightened up enough to drive home.

Anyways, the next day, we woke up to about 10 inches of snow! It was so cool. Seth and I got to go ploughing again - more driving - lol. The snow was really heavy and hard to push so it took a little longer to plough. We got another 8 or so inches the next night too so we had ALOT of snow!! We got to do all the mobile phone towers and were done just before it snowed again! We got another 6 or so inches so we got to plough everything again. We spent about a week straight driving. lol. It's not too bad though. I only felt sick once from going back and forth back and forth.

Here are some pics of the snow

Pictures of me shoveling some snow.

Pretty snow

Me standing next to a huge snow bank.

Seth holding an imprint the snow made of his tyre.

Life is going great! The weather is slowly warming up so it seems like more of an Australian winter. The snow is all melting already. There is so much water and mud around! It's looks like everyone has their own personal lake in their backyard. I've been going with Seth these last few days to work which is fun. I get to hand him stuff : - ).
Anyways, I had better go, I'll try to blog more frequently.

You guys are awesome!!

Dogopoly and Smarties

I've had heaps of ppl ask me about Dogopoly cause Seth had mentioned we'd been playing it in my babble box so I thought i'd let everyone know what it is.

Dogopoly is a game - very much like monopoly in the way that it is played except instead of properties the squares are dog breeds and other dog related things and you buy them. It is really cute! There are cute tokens related to dogs such as: a mailman, a dog bowl, a scared cat, a steak, a flea and a fire hydrent. Seth and I have played a few times and I have won twice!!! That's very exciting because normally Seth always wins at Monopoly.

I just also thought I would post pictures of Australian smarties and American smarties.

Australian smarties are like M&Ms (chocolate in a hard shell) except a little bigger and with much cooler colours like purple! They are made by Nestle and are basically very very cool.

American smarties are rolls of sherbety lollies. We have them in Australia but I can't remember what they are called, but you'll know what they are when you see the pic.

Anyways - I just thought I'd share my stores with you.

BYE!!

Drumroll please........

I know this is LONG overdue but I am finally going to post pictures of our house.

But first.. a review of my life since I last posted. About a week ago, Seth fell about 8feet off the scaffolding at work. Thankfully, he wasn't hurt too badly. The main problem was that his square was in his pouch and he landed on it and it dug into his back. He was in alot of pain moving around, he is not 100% yet but he is so much better than he was.

It's been EXTREAMLY cold here these past few days but thankfully the house is always warm. I still haven't been able to make a snowman yet cause the snow just falls apart when you try to pack it. We went out and cut some wood some of the days but it wasn't too bad - as long as you kept moving.

Anyways....Welcome to our house....

This is our lounge room.

The lounge chairs came with the house and they are extreamly comfy.

This is our kitchen

Down our hallway.

The first room is the laundry. Half of the room is filled with tools and lumber and stuff. It is actually a bedroom but functions well as a laundry.

The next room is the bathroom. I am still looking for an awesome power shower curtain that matches our shower hooks but I haven't found one yet. The reason there is a toilet in a box next to the toilet is cause the toilet we had was leaking so Seth had to install a new one. We weren't planning of having side by side toilets. Don't you just love our green bath tub..lol.

And at the end of the hallway is our bedroom. We got the quilt and pillows for our wedding. We also got this aweosme purple quilt that I will take a pic of sometime. The bed came with the house too.

This is looking down the hallway from out bedroom.

And this is the outside of the house.

So yea thats our house. We do have another room coming off the lounge room but its a mess so I'll take a pic of that later once it's organised.

Have a great day!!

Ploughing!

HI!

We got more snow last weekend!! It was snowing when we went to church, and I got to shovel the snow of the footpath. It was so fun except my hands were frozen by the time I had finished. I kept snowing for ages...and we got about 4-5 inches.

Seth is contracted to plough about 40 mobile phone towers so we had to plough all of those. We left on Sunday after church and ploughed till late and we ploughed for the next 3 days. All up we did about 1900kms!!! How crazy is that!! We didn't leave Wisconsin but we travelled around and saw heaps of cool stuff. It's so fun to see the snow come off the plough. It's strange but it doesn't seem like we travelled that far because you stop all the time and get out and stuff. It's much easier than just straight driving.

Nearly every house has icicles hanging off the roofs! It's so werid. I got Seth to grab one from somewhere so I could eat it. We took some pics of me with my icicles......

KEEP SMILING!

SNOW!!! and other cool and exciting stuff!!

HEY!!

What an awesomely exciting week we've had! Let me start at the beginning of all the excitingness...

Well... last Saturday (exactly a week ago), Seth and I decided that we would have to buy a new fridge. The trailer we were given included some various items of furniture like a very comfy lounge set, kitchen table a chairs, a fridge and heaps of other stuff. The fridge worked, although not brilliantly, it was functional. For about a week or so I noticed that our ice cream was a mush, we realised the freezer was dying and when the other frozen foods started to get mushy we decided we had to get a new fridge. We went to La Crosse (a place about an hr away with heaps of cool shops) and looked around at the fridge places (most of them twice), but we couldn't decide. So anyways...on Sunday we went back and looked around again, after another long day of searching, we found our fridge at a great price. It is a side-by-side stainless steel, with an ice maker (I LOVE crushed ice!) and water dispenser, digital temp thingys, it has this cool drawer in the fridge that you can set to a diff temp so you can defrost meat or chill something quickly. Its totally cool!

This is the outside, sorry it's such a dodgy pic..its hard to take a picture of a reflective surface...

and...this is the inside, the fridge looks empty because I can fit most everything in the door and the drawers, but its nice to know we have space if we need it. The freezer also has glass shelving which is a really cool feature...

Anyways, on Sunday, when we were picking up our fridge it began to snow, which made it kinda difficult to get it in the house, but we accomplished it. I was SOOOO EXCITED about the snow!!! We had about 4-5 inches which is so cool!! Its so pretty and fluffy. I haven't made a snowman yet because the snow is too fluffy to pack yet...but when its good I'm gonna make a snowman. I've been eating heaps of snow too, its so cool, like eating cold fluff.

The occurrence of snow means that Seth gets to plough snow which is so fun. He is contracted to plough for like 32 mobile phone towers so on Monday and Tuesday, Seth and I went snow ploughing, he didn't have to plough very many because he only has to plough if they get more than 6 inches, but he ploughed the really scary ones....lucky for me...and some new ones that he's never done before. It was fun, I'm just glad I have heaps of faith in Seth's driving ability. The sites are all over Wisconsin so you get to see lots of cool stuff. OOH!! I just remembered, we saw this AWESOME PURPLE HOUSE! as we were driving along. It wasn't like an ugly purple, like you usually see...like that lilac colour, it was a dark purple with a lighter purple round the bottom...when we go ploughing again I will get a picture for you because it is the coolest house I have ever seen in my life!

I took some pics of the snow outside our house on Tuesday morning.... they don't do it justice...its so beautiful...

This is Seth and I driving after it has snowed ... the flag shows where the end of the plough is...

This is outside the front our our house.

This a picture of Seth's tractor covered in snow!

The weather has been rather cold along with the snow, a few mornings it has been -17.7 degrees Celsius but it usually warms up to about -7C during the day. This morning, we saw some deer in our back yard, it was cool so we took a picture...the pic is kinda dodge because it was through the window but still cool anyway...

Hmm....what other exciting stuff has happened this week...

Levi (Seth's cousin), came over for breakfast the other day and we had the best breakfast ever! We had:

  • Waffles with maple syrup, blueberry syrup, fruit (blueberry's, blackberry's and raspberry's) and cream

  • Scrambled eggs with capsicum, tomato, ham and cheese in it..

  • Bacon

It was good - I especially loved the waffles cause i think waffles are awesome!

I bought cool jumpers yesterday! They were a total bargain. They were normally $40 each...but I got them for $12 each. I took a pic so you could see how awesome they are...

I also thought I'd post some random pics to make up for my unbloggingness...

This is a pic of my nephew, Evan and I with a Reindeer.

This is a pic of me after I got my hair cut...It was cut early december and pic was taken just after...

This is an awesome drawing someone gave to us as a gift...she painted it from a picture she was given. It is gorgeous!

Anyways! Enjoy the pics...I'll try to keep you posted!

Have a good one!

Bob the Builder...

Hey...

The other day, as I was flicking throught the 4 occasionally clear channels on our TV when I found Bob the Builder. I thought it was cool and left it on that. As it continued to play, I could tell something was werid but I couldn't put my finger on it until Bob began to talk - he had an american accent and so did all the other characters!! It was so funny, I had to sit down and watch. They had just dubed over the original British version we're all used to. I just thought I'd share that with everyone because I thought it was amusing. The characters just didn't have the same personality with different accents...lol.

Life has been going well. There is still no snow though, which I find very sad, but they are forcasting some snow for the weekend. I still haven't made a snowman since we've been here and I have a desperate need to play in the snow, lol.

I bought Seth the New Super Mario Brothers game for Christmas for his Nintendo DS, but now he is very dejected because he a mastered it. I can't even get thought the first world lol. I'm very bad at it...

Anyways, I had best be off, I just wanted to share my Bob the Builder discoveries with you!

Love BEAR
